How can I find out if my medicaid is active?

The best way to find out if your Medicaid is active it to contact your local Department of Children and Families. You will have to provide them with your Social Security Number your and Medicaid number but they can tell you the status. You can also contact your doctor, they can run the number to see if it is active.

Well that's a joke 3/4 of the people coming to our hospital are illegals or migrant workers with no social security numbers and they have ins or apply for charity care!!!!!!!!!!! and we wonder whats wrong with our contry???  add a comment

Call you Department of Human Services and ask them. Even the receptionist at the front desk should be able to get this answer for you.
