How can I get a Microsoft Word document to print on the front and back of the page?

This is normally configured on the actual printer, rather than within word. If your printer can do this, goto file -> print, select your printer and then select properties. You are then looking for either an option called "Duplexing", "Print on both sides" or similar.

The only way to do it is to print one page, flip it over, and then print the next page.

Once the document has been drafted, click on Office icon or "File", select "Print". Click "Properties". Select "Finishing" tab. Select "Print on both sides". Click "Ok" and then "Print".

This is simple. You select to have every other page printed. This prints every other page starting with the first page. Then you take your sheets and turn them over, making sure the first page blank side is up. Then you select print every other page again starting with page 2.

This task is a function not of Microsoft Word but the capabilities of your printer. Different versions of Word do have work-arounds so that you can just put the paper back in and start every other page on the back but it can be different with different versions of Word.

It is possible to get a word document to print on the front and back of a page, but in order to do so, you will have to print one page at a time. Print the first page, than turn the paper over and print the second page on the back.
