You need to find what your cooktop needs to be breakered at and get the correct size wire and breaker. Most all cook tops are hard wired in. If it is rated at 30 amps then you will need a two pole 30 amp breaker and 10-3 romex to run to your cooktop. All depends on your cooktop.

Most building codes require a stove to have it's own breaker. Purchase a 220 breaker at a local hardware store, purchase a 4 wire 220 cable, use the breaker instructions on hooking up the wires (red and block to hot, white other port, and copper box ground). Other end will hook directly to the cook top, follow the instructions.

Run a 10/3 romex from your electical panel to the area where the cook top is going and set in a 4 inch square metal box. Set your cook top into the cabinet. Run the supplied flex to the junction box and wire nutt wires together. Turn on breaker
