I would start by looking online to see how other have built homemade go karts. I may just be easier to purchase an existing frame and just install a motor. Otherwise you will need to build you own. Then simply source a motor for it along with some appropriate wheels.

A good way to make a homemade go cart is to start with something small - you can use an old riding lawn mower with the cutting blades removed. If you want something slightly larger, you can use a VW Bug frame.

You can make a go kart out of pretty much anything. As a matter of fact, originality gets rewarded in most go kart competitions.

Well, to make a go cart you need a ton of supplies. This is no easy task to make at home. So I suggest you do not make it. Due to the nature of the parts, I think you should leave this for a professional worker to be able to do.
