How can I remove a generator from a small engine?

I'm having a little trouble.

Most generators have a long, bolt type puller that slides in to hallow in the rotor shaft all the way down till treading if pushes on the cranks shaft thus separating the rotor. If you dont have the tools required it is likely your local service shop could separate the rotor from the engine for a reasonable fee.

Use a puller specific to a given generator to separate the rotor from the crankshaft / a carefully placed slide hammer or carefully placed pressure with 2 suitable prys and a square,sharp blow from about a 2lb hammer and a block of wood to prevent damage may pop it loose.

There are probably a couple of bolts you need to remove. This will most likely require a screwdriver, and might even require a socket set. Look at the head of the bolt to determine what you need.
