Always use a detergent that has some biocide activity. This can be based on quaternary ammonium compounds. (this will be listed on the label) Spray on the curtain and allow to work for several minutes. Then brush the curtain and flush with water.

I wash it in the wash machine with bleach and it comes out. I do this about every 5 months. Make sure you close the curtain when its hung to moisture does not collect in the pleats, and the curtain does not touch the bottom of the shower.

You can purchase a mould & mildew removal spray/cleaner from any cleaning supply stores. It just requires spraying onto the mouldy surface, leaving for a few minutes, and wiping down. If not, just try taking the curtains down and cleaning off with a scouring pad and lots of very hot, soapy water.

There are a couple ways you can wash it in the washer or you can use the works or awesome on it and take a hose that has really good water pressure and take it outside and spary it down really good you may need to do it a couple times but it will work.
