How can I tell if my glasses are correct for me?

New glasses always take time to adapt for anyone, sometimes up to a few days. However, if the prescription is incorrect, persistent headaches will occur over several days and vision will not improve. An incorrect prescription will cause a person to see steps and other objects in lengths and directions that are inacurate after the few days mentioned.

The glasses should fit right. As for the vision aspect, you should be able to see cleary. Your vision should not be blurred in any way.

If my vision is blurry and/or if I catch a headache from wearing glasses, it probably means that my glasses are not correct for me.

Go see the optometrist that gave you the prescription. He will give you an eye test while wearing the glasses. You can read the eye chart and he can put the equipment up to test them. You should not be experiencing headaches, otherwise they may be too strong or too weak causing eye strain.

They are correct if you can see everything that you desire to see. If you are not sure then consult your eye doctor or get a new one.

Appropriate glasses will not cause headaches or dizziness after the first 2 days of wearing new ones. Light results due to adaptation to new glasses can occur however seldom.

I think the biggest way to tell is if they are comfortable and you can see out of them. If they are not than you should go see an eye doctor.

If you can see clearly with your glasses and they fit your face properly, then they are most likely the right glasses for you. If you are having vision problems, then you should see an eye doctor.
