Clues can come from the eyes and teeth. If there is much plaque or missing teeth, the cat is older. If the eyes are cloudy your cat is also older.

You can get an idea of a cat's age by the condition of the teeth. A cat should have all of it's adult teeth by about six months of age and the teeth should be clean and white for about the first year. After that the teeth begin to yellow and show signs of wear.

Examine the cat's eyes. If they are clear and glossy then he cat maybe 1-5 years old. If it appears hazy then cat is more than 5 years old. If eyes begin to look murky then he cat is 15-20 years old. he cat's teeth will be extremely white when it is young and begin to yellow as they grow older.

this is a hard question in that there is no exact way to find the age of an animal. it would be easier to get a rough estimate on how old the cat is. cats usually age linearly meaning when they are young they will have alot of energy but when they start to hit 10 those levels will drop.
