Yes there are vaccines, and parvo is more common in the young puppies and the old frail dogs that weren't vaccinated. Adults can sometimes pull through but it has a high mortality rate. If your dog has come from a puppy mill, pet store, kennel, or shelter with many dogs it raises the likelyhood of parvo.

Parvo is a disease commonly seen in canines. It is not a spirochete, however, but a virus. It is usually fatal, even when caught early and treated by a veterinarian. That is why vaccinating for Parvovirus is extremely important. Most puppies need a series of 3 vaccines for this, started at 6-8 weeks old, given at 3-4 week intervals.

Parvo is extremely common in canines, especially young un-vaccinated puppies. Getting a vaccine with parvo in it such as a 5 way or 7 way is the best way to prevent this very deadly virus.

Parvo Spirochete is also called common dog virus so it's very common and has been affecting dogs world wide. Vaccinations are available for this symptom and are good to give to your dogs at a young age.

Parvo is common enough to be of major concern. There are vaccinations, your vet can set you up no problem. It's highly recommended to get it done at 6 months old. A dog without it will most likely end up with it, and the survival rate is almost 50/50.
