How did Australians participate in WW2?

Or did they just sit back and watch?

Australia was armed force back up. Their men fought under British control on the land in places like Lebanon and Cairo, Egypt. Their nay was used in the Mediterranean sea as back up and their air force patrolled the skies of Australia itself as the actual Australian soldiers fought in Greece and North Africa.

Australia was an ally of Great Britain and USA. They participated in North Africa, Italy and Germany. They were also the first to take land back from the Japanese.

They declared war on Germany in 1939 and their armed forces fought in Europe, North Africa and the Southwest Pacific.
