How do elephants nurs?

Elephants nurse the same way all mammals nurse; the baby sucks on the mothers nipples until milk comes out. The only difference in elephants from other four-legged mammals is that they have their two teats between their front legs instead of on their belly or between their rear legs.

Baby elephants don't know how to use trunks yet so they use their mouths. A few months after birth they begin to learn how to use their trunks.
