How do I care for my goat who has broken his leg?

Take the goat to a professional vet. Get the goat fitted for a cast, and keep him as inactive as possible. You really should seek professional care as this could be a more serious condition that one can see with the naked eye. The bone may need to be reset and only a professional should attempt this.

Goats need vets the way we need doctors and should be given medical care immediately, the same as you would for a pet dog. In an emergency or transport situation the break can be treated like a human emergency using an inflatable arm cast will reduce your goat's suffering.

The leg will eventually heal. My advice would be to make the goat as comftorable as possible, since goats feel pain. Leave the goat in a secure warm place,that is not too hot. Make sure the goat has enough food and water to last him for the day and make sure to come and pet the goat to comfort him
