The thermostat will be located on the top of the engine below the fitting where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. Remove the hose, unbolt the hose fitting, and the thermostat is right there. Next, take a razor and wire brush and clean the area where the gasket went. Once clean, reassemble and top off coolant.

Trace the top radiator hose down to where it connects to the engine. Remove the hose and catch the coolant that comes out. Unbolt the neck that attaches to the engine. Swap out the old thermostat and gasket for the new and put it back together. Replace the lost coolant.

Well the first step is to drain down your coolant below the level of the thermostat. Then locate the thermostat housing. Remove it and then the thermostat itself. Next install the new one along with the new gasket. Tighten it down to factory specifications. Then refill the cooling system and bleed out any air.

On the hose going from the radiator to the engine, as that hose mates up to an engine, there is a bulb. That bulb holds the thermostat. Remove the bolts holding the bulb down, remove old thermostat and gasket. Then replace in same direction and replace the bolts, making sure to refill your radiator completely.

The best thing to do when you are going to change the thermostat on your car is to find it on the block and there will be only two screws holding it on. You will also need to replace the gasket when you change the thermostat that way it does not leak on you when you install the new one.

the thermostat will be in a pipe connecting the radiator and water pump, since it controls flow for those. merely take out the water pump, and unscrew the old thermostat, and screw the new one in. then put the water pump back on.
