You should cover your concrete basement floor with Bamboo flooring, it is easy to install and the life of the flooring is very good and you can also clean the bamboo flooring with wet cloth, it is also not slipry and cost wise it is low and mainly bamboo flooring is ECO-FRIENDLY and provide positive energy.

Depends on what material you want to use. Laminate flooring can go over it by laying down the plastic sheeting first. You can glue carpeting over basement concrete. Or you can tile and grout. I have tiled and layed laminate over concrete and they both came out great.
