You should all the beautiful crockeries you have and use it for displaying food. Salads should be arranged in plates and shuld be nicely decorated. The main course should be kept in earthern dishes with lid and the sweet dishes should be kept in some attractive glass bowls.

Making a nice presentation is important, but you should also be considerate of ensuring that everyone can get the food, and that servers can place more food easily.

If you would like food to be viewed by guests, as well as be available for serving for any length of time, a buffet table is the ideal presentation. Clear labels and/or brief descriptions for each dish are appreciated by guests.

Get long tables to set the food on. Put the appetizers in one section, the entrees in another section and then put the drinks and desserts at the far end. Make it easy for people to reach to avoid messes all over the place. You can put them in a line or organize the dishes as you wish.

Usually you'll want to set breads, rolls, etc at one end of the table. Continue with cold foods such as lettuce and pasta salads. Then move on to hot foods such as warm pasta dishes, fried chicken, ham or roast beef. Dessert should probably be set on a separate table or at the very end of the serving line.
