This is called blocking and beneficial for all yarn items such as afghans, sweaters. Wash, but do not dry. Cut a piece of cardboard, or find a surface at least 2 inches larger than the length and width- place your blanket, and stretch to the proper shape. Affix it to the surface, pins are useful, and let it dry.

Chances are you have an area in the crocheted blanket that has the yarn too tight. The best way to find this is usually the beginning of the crooked area. Find it and adjust the stitch.

If it has been stretched out of shape and made of acrylic yarn, just run it through the rinse cycle and block it before it dries-simply lay it flat on the floor and arrange; let dry. If it was accidentally made crooked, try double-crocheting an edge around it.

It depends on what is making the blanket crooked. If just out of shape try blocking the blanket when wet on a flat surface, stabilizing it with straight pins into the required shape. If it is caused by incorrect stitch count, rip the yarn out to the beginning of mistake and re-crochet with the correct stitch count.

Try camoflauging it with a multi-row border (you can find patterns online)using the same color as the main portion of the blanket. If it is very crooked, you will have to tear back to where the blanket first started to lean.

You can try blocking the blanket. This requires washing the blanket and a large wall or board that can withstand dampness. Using T pins, pin the blanket to the board in the shape you require and let air dry. Leave this to dry for several days.

You need to block it, meaning you must dampen it, pull it into shape, pin it all around to a board using rustproof pins, and let it dry.

If the blanket is not finished, it is best to unravel and start over. If you have already finished the blanket, one option is to size it.

I would assume that the person did not add. If the yarn is plain go up the side of the blanket and add on.

The person that crochet it probably forgot to add on when they started the next row. If you are going to use it in the winter, I would put a pretty edge on it. If its a gift I would rip it out and start over.
