You need to get away from as soon as you can. Alert your closet family and friends of the abusive situation your in. When he is not around, gather your personal belongings and spend the night at someone's place whom you trust. Call the police and make them aware of what's going on. Always have someone accompany you.

You simply walk away and take back your life. There is never a good reason to ever stay in an abusive relationship.

The most important thing is to cut off all communication with him. Keep a log of all abuse, and after you've split up, log any attempts at contact he makes. He will threaten you and possibly stalk you, but talking to him will encourage him. NEVER go back no matter what he says. You may need a restraining order.

There are organizations that help you get away, different ones specialize in different types of abuse. You can find more information online, or through an employer or counselor.

My suggestions would be: I would sue him, I would put a restriction order and I would never travel or walk on the streets alone, specially if it was at dawn or night. And if all that doesn't work I would leave to another country at least for a while.

You need to worry about yourself and your safety. He has given up any right to your concern. If you are living together, have someone (or, better yet, several other people) accompany you to get your possessions. You may also want to get a restraining or protective order. You should avoid talking to him or seeing him again.
