How do I go about sewing drapes?

Measure the width across for the drapes; half the width equals one drape. Measure how long the drapes will be. add a little extra for hems. If hanging from a rod then you will need to fold over a bit at the top to make a sleeve for the rod.

You will have to have someone that does know how to measure around so they an help you with that. One thing you do not want is to have some ill fitting drapes on your windows.

First you will need to measure the length and width of your window with a measuring device. Then you will need to decide where you want your drapery rods above the window. Then measure from the rod to the floor. Take these measurements to the drapery fabric store they will be able to tell you how much fabric you need.

Unfortunately if you dont know how to measure the only option would be to get a pair of drapes you already have and make them the same size.
