Water regularly and keep the shoots and buds trimmed off the tree trunk. In the fall, prune back to tree form. Fight insects with weak soapy water.

Depending on the type of Crape Myrtle it can be a very delicate plant. I would recommend full sunlight and using organic fertilizer which can provide a more natural balance.

Well first of all spray water on it about two times a week as well. Then you want to use some fertilizer on it and that will help you help the plant grow.

Keep the plant in full sunlight whenever possible, too much shade will prevent flowering. Crepe Myrtles grow best in evenly moist soil that drains efficiently. Higher acid concentration in the soil will also help, as will keeping the plant in highly circulated air. If fertilizer is needed, a light application should do the job.
