Open the hood of the car, look at the drivers side of the fire wall and find the wiper motor. Take off the electrical plug and remove the 3 bolts that hold the wiper motor to the car. Pull the wiper motor out a little bit and remove the 1 bolt off the wiper transmission. Reverse to install.

Remove front cowl trim. Unplug old motor. Remove rod arm from the motor. Unbolt the motor. Install in reverse. Changing the wiper bushing while apart is recommended.

The wiper motor is easy to replace, but the placement on the Grand Prix makes it very hard to get to. You'll have to remove the window washer fluid tank in order to have enough room to take the old motor out. All you need for the job is a flathead screw driver and the GM-12A wrench.

Lift the hood to locate wiper motor,it will be on the passenger side of the engine bay. Cable running to the negative battery terminal should be removed. Remove the electrical plug running to the wiper motor. Remove the two bolts catching the wiper motor to the firewall. Pull the motor and install a new motor.

If you are going to replace this motor then you will need to locate the motor which is near the clutch.
