You cannot, these are possible physical sizes of a display. So, the only way to resize your display is to buy a new one. Note, however, that 15.7" displays are extremely hard to find.

You cannot change the physical dimensions (in inches) of your computer's monitor, but you can go to the "display settings" section in your control panel to change your display's resolution settings. There will be several resolutions to choose from, pick the one that is largest and looks the best.

Displays are fixed physical sizes so they cannot be resized. However you can adjust the resolution of your display to be larger such as 1440x900 would make all your icons seem smaller and give you more room if your display allows it.

I think you are talking about having a black border around your screens image. This could mean you have chosen a resolution the display cannot extrapolate to the whole screen. Pick the native resulution of the display and install the propor drivers and you should be good to go.

That's your monitor diagonal...it's inches. Your resolution is what you want to resize. The resolution is in pixels, not inches.

That's a little bit trickly. However, there are control buttons on the monitor that you could you to resize the display. If they aren't working probably your monitor has developed a distortion. Determine the where the menu control button is located on the monitor. Press menu, scroll to up resize, and try to resize the horizontal and vertical sizes.
