How do I troubleshoot an A/C relay on my Buick Regal?

The best way would be to borrow a relay from someone else and switch it out to see if it solves your problem.

check the relays by pulling out the terminals and checking for power of the two terminals,check the wire of ECC relays may be the relay itelf is not in good condition.

connect a multi meter lead to ground near relay. should have constant power on 85. should have switched power on 87a,87 and 30. and constant ground on 84. also you can listen for a click when a friend turns the ac on. check from switch towards ac system for failures.

The easiest way is to steal a relay from something else (the ABS?) and try it out. Also, find the low-side pressure switch and jumper it to eliminate that possibility.

Make sure you have power going to the relay with a test light. You will unplug the relay and touch the test light to it to make sure there's power.

The easiest way to troubleshoot an A/C relay is to just change it. If that does not fix the problem then you'll have to try something else.
