Unless you have a deal with a production company there would be no need to write one as you do not know what kind of shows will be in production. Most companies do not accept unsolicited scripts and most likely will send it back to you unopened.

The first think you need to do is write an outline of what you want the episode to be about, create some characters and their personality type and then bring it all together into a creative story that will be interesting and entertaining to watch on television.

Start with a creative idea that will appeal to people today. Think about how the people would speak to eachother, relate to eachother, who their friends would be. Learn how to write dialogue and begin writing. You can edit after you have a significant amount down. Maybe read it out loud and see if it sounds normal.

For a pilot episode it is essential to introduce your characters in a way that makes people care about them. Be clear about what situation/world they are in.
