How do you bid on ebay?

If there is an item on ebay that I want is it best to wait till the last minute to bid or should I put in my highest bid now and see what happens.

I find it's best to bid last minute. This helps you avoid getting carried away, and surprises other bidders who might have then placed higher bids if they'd had time.

The best way to bid on eBay is to bid small amounts, nearing the expiration time. Go for smaller prices at first and put in the highest bid with a small amount of time left, to ensure you are not outdone.

This depends on the time you are willing to invest. If you don't want to watch the auction place a high bid otherwise try waiting until the last 5 minutes.

Its really best to make a bid on a item at the last few minutes since there is a high chance someone else will outbid you! Unless, your willing to spend more money on a item and really want it then that's your choice. But I recommend you bid at the very last minute. Don't do it early like me.

If it is something that you really want, I would suggest putting a high bid and see what happens. You could also wait till the end and put a high bid which will work almost always.
