You build muscle by tearing muscle tissue in fixed amounts (like lifting weights), then you need to give it a rest for a day or so. The muscle rebuilds the next day and continue the cycle. Since it is VERY possible to lose all that hard work.

Muscle is built most efficiently by relatively low repetitions with your high-end to maximum weight. The large muscle groups like the quadriceps muscle for instance is a muscle that responds very well to this type of activity. A high-protein meal after workouts is a must to repair muscle fibers.

It depends on what you want to build it for. For strength, the best exercises are the basic weight lifting exercises: squat, deadlift, pull-up, bench press, shoulder press, and weighted sit-ups. Work out three times a week. Add weight or repetitions each time you work out, and maintain good form.

Muscle is built from protein intake as well as strength training. Workout regimens can be found everywhere, don't overexert a muscle group and don't exercise them more than twice per week with rest in between. Diet is crucial, you will want to increase your protein intake to build the muscle tissue.

Consuming protein as part of your daily diet and also working out the muscles you want to build will build muscle. You can lift weights or do exercise with them.

You have to put it under stress (such as exercise) that will then cause the body to overcompensate by making it stronger so that the next time is easier.
