You'll need a Vivarium. You'll need Strata and Substrata; a wide, shallow bowl of water; hiding places; and probably 'Pinky' mice. Feed only mice no wider than your snake's widest width. Some need insects. Do not heat the whole Vivarium. You'll need to identify its species for specifics.

Snakes should be put in a heated glass terrarium with rocks, plants and water. Find out what kind of snake it is and feed it appropriately (bugs and/or rodents.)

Firstly be sure its a baby and not a small adult. It will depend on the type of snake but provide it with as much food as it will eat.

You should build a house for the snake by using a five gallon fish tank with a sturdy lid. Feed the snake pinky mice from your local pet shop.

It's probably a garter snake, and you need to do research on what to feed it (usually frogs, worms) and how to present the food. I am sorry, but it will probably die, and you may be better off leaving it to fend for itself, it may be old enough.

Baby snakes are kind of hard to care for because you have to give them their food that's alive. You will need like a big aquarium with a rockin it. The snake must be kept warm and even in captivity a lot of snakes need to hibranate.

First make sure it is not a venomous snake. The vet or various websites can tell you how to house and feed it, but best thing would be to let it go free, especially if you have a garden. It will help keep down the mouse population.
