When dealing with passive aggressive people or other difficult people, always be the bigger person. Try to create a relationship with open communication and honesty. If something seems to be bothering the passive aggressive person, be direct and ask them if something is bothering them.

I've found that the best thing you can do with passive aggressive people is to give them a taste of their own medicine in a sense. The old saying "Kill them with Kindness" really has helped me in the past when working with this personality type. For instance, ignore their ulterior motive and don't let it bother you.

The thing with passive aggressive people is that you should not change the way you live for them. So I would say the best thing to do is ignore them or at least keep your distance. It's not worth the effort on your part if they're not willing to change.

Don't be fooled by their behavior--recognize it as aggression. But also realize that passive aggressive people may have reasons for their dishonesty. They may feel incapable of handle being honest because they don't know how to apologize. Try to offer them ways of saving face.
