How do you get gallbladder infections?

Is it something you eat or do that causes them?

Sort of. Gallbladder infections are the result of gallstones becoming stuck and causing an infection. Gallstones are made up of fat. Therefore, every time you eat a fatty food, it becomes more possible that a gallstone will form. However, it is important to remember that everyone eats some amount of fat, and that fat is necessary to the body.

A gallstone is the most common reason of gallbladder infection. Gallstone blocks the channel between gallbladder and bile duct which results in a bacterial infection in gallbladder. An intense pain, vomiting and illness are the most common symptoms. Swelling can also happen in bile duct. Eating can enhance the symptoms

Eating a high fat diet with high carbs and low fiber causes gall stones. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies.See a doctor for low fat diet and high fiber diet.

Gall stones in the gall bladder sometimes get jammed in the ducts causing an infection in the duct. the infection can spread and cause te need for surgery to remove the gall bladder.
