It's difficult to get rid of a scar without some kinds of surgery. Treatments such as Mederma claim to reduce the appearance of scars, and makeup is another option. Using a firming lotion (anti-aging type of lotion) may also help. But no medication is going to make a scar go away entirely.

It depends on how big the scar is. Some people claim that cocoa butter or castor oil rubbed into it a few times a day works.

There is a medicine sold in drugstores (like Walgreens or CVS) called Mederma, which is doctor recommended and will gradually reduce and even remove your scar. To use it, you simply apply it to your scar three times a day for up to a year, and then it will disappear.
