The best way is purchase a can of hornet or wasp killer spray, such as Raid. Make sure tostand far enough away before spraying directly at the nest.

Work at night, cover yourself as much as possible and set up a light away from you but pointing at the area. Spray nests with hornet spray, cover with soil.

Buy an insecticide that is a quick acting hornet killer. Autumn or Winter is best time to get rid of them. Night is best time to spray the nest.

On a cold night when dark out, dress in very heavy clothes. You can carefully wrap the hive with a plastic bag and pull it off. Tie it off quickly and tightly then freeze the hive this will kill the wasps for several days.

Chemical sprays are available. Non chemical: a bucket with 1 cup sugar water, touch of dish soap, 1 cup apple cidar vinegar and a piece of meat for attraction.

Using an enzyme cleaner is the best way to get rid of hornet's nests because they dissolve the building material of the nest but they also get rid of the phermones that attract other hornets into the household. The traditional soap and water method does not work and using enzymatic cleaners are the best.
