A good beginner's plant, light is very important to them. Windows on the west side of your home will work fine or indirect light elsewhere. In warm months, mist very lightly every couple of days or you can place them in a sunny bathroom. Do not let them completely dry out and use weak fertilizer at least twice a month.

Phalaenopsis do very well in intense, but not direct sunlight. They are Epiphytes, which mean that they absorb water and nutrients from the air. Misting the roots is best. Fertilize once every two weeks and water when the medium is dry. Try your best to mimic the natural environment.
