How do you make a chuck box?

You have to get some wood and hollow out a cavity and make it thin on either side of the cavity. Then you get a thin piece of board and attach it then rub it over the cavity.

A chuck box is just a wooden box, inside another wooden box. You leave a gap and put ice (dry ice is best) outside of the smaller box. Its a primitave refrigerator.

There are many different size plans to be found on the internet. Try including the words "boy scouts" in your plans as troops often make chuck boxes for their camp outs. Basically you will take good quality plywood and cut it to the right dimensions for the box, shelves, lid and legs. Then everything is screwed together.

Weight is the primary consideration. You may have to carry a chuck box, and also consider the weight of the items you put in the box. Use light, strong wood with wood glue and nails as they hold each other together.

To make a chuck box, you make a box out of sturdy wood with a lock on it that is big enough to fit the cooking supplies you will need.
