How do you put curtains on an arched window?

Most of the home stores have curved curtain rods. You might have to customize them for the window , but this will be a good start.

To put 'normal' curtains on an rail is impossible. They either wouldn't stay closed or couldn't open. However, vertical blinds could serve the solution. You can adapt the aperture of the individual strips. Vertical blinds can be made to measure by specialist window dressers. A handy person could give it a try himself, but I think it's specialist work.
