The color and size of your couch determine what size and color of sofa pillows you buy. Another determining factor is the decor and size of the room the couch is in.
Your pillows should match the colors in the room, either the sofa itself or a side chair. Are they going to be used for looks or comfort? There are a few standard sizes, but 12" to 15" are normal.
