Language arts involves speaking, spelling, reading, writing, and understanding a single language. It is spelled similarly in several different languages. In French, "language arts" is arts du langage. The object, arts, comes before the adjective, language. This way the subject is known before it is described as is common in languages other than Enlish.

The French equivalent would be "L'art du langage" (literally: "the art of language"). Please note that the term "language arts" is not used in French in exactly the same way it's used in English, but as a rough approximation this should do.

In French, "language arts" is "arts du langage". The modifier comes after the noun, with the preposition "du" meaning "of" placed in between. Literally, the translation is "arts of language".
