I store uncooked rice in a tall glass mason jar. My mom and my grandma used to store uncooked rice in cotton bags that they made. Mom still thinks bags are the best but I had problems when I tried that method. Somehow small insects grew in the rice and I had to throw it away.

Transfer rice into an airtight container with a lid and store in a cool, dry pantry along with canned goods and pastas.

My husband or Chinese. We eat and store at least 50 pds of rice a month. Store it in a glass large canning jar with a lid and we also have a new metal small trash tim with a lid for the larger amounts. Keep it dry and no light.

Keep it in an air tight, pest proof container: We keep ours in a clean jar from spaghetti sauce, or sometimes we just use a tist tie on the bag.
