The cd player probably has composite connection. This type of connector has a red and white audio output, hook those into your equalizer, then the equalizer should have outputs to put into your amplifier which powers your speakers. Then just hook the video connection which is probably yellow directly into your tv.

Connect a audio cable to the headphones connector of the cd player and then connect the other end to the audio input of your equalizer. Just remember that you need specific male to male audio wires in order to connect these gadgets together. Sometimes you'll need wire tip adapters compatible to specific audio input/output gadgets to connect these together.
