How does a license plate blocker work?

They have new cameras to catch speeders. Can it stop them?

They work by scamming the driver out of $60 or so. In other words, they don't work. In most places, it's illegal to affix anything--transparent or not--over the license plate. By far the best way to beat the speed cameras is simply not to speed. Neat thing about not speeding is that it doesn't cost anything.

Plate blocker are designed to obscure you plates from camera view. They have an very smooth plastic surface which helps to cause a glare from camera flashes. They also have a shape to them the will help to distort the look of the plate from above preventing identification. For the most part though they don't work very well.
