I assume they are paid the same as anybody else. The are issued checks by the company. They pay is usually based on weight or mileage.

Though some companies pay their drivers by the hour, most trucking companies pay truckers by the mile. The driver logs how far he drives as well as when he is driving, and when he is stopped (regulations mandate regular breaks). The log is sent in to the home office, which calculates the pay.

Generally they pay them by salary not by the hour. When you dispatch, like I do, you can get calls throughout the night and weekends, so it is just easier to pay a flat weekly rate.

From my understanding of that space, truck drivers are paid by the mile, whereas warehouse-type workers are paid hourly and upper management is paid on a salary basis. This will vary from company to company, though.

Pretty simple. You make your own transportation firm and sign a contract with the big firm and there you go with your monthly salary.

It pays employees based on the amount that they travel and how long the trip is. Based on the kilometers they travel, they will get paid say 30 cents.
