Just like any other sonar devices, Lowrance x125 works as a fish finding device using sonar principles. It evaluates the echoed sound and gives it a discription or an identification that it is a school of fish. Moreover, distance from it would also be provided by the machine.

It is a fish finding device similar to an ultrasound that detects fish and it would have been good for fishing, however they are no longer on the market. You may be able to find a used one somewhere.

These worked great! I have no idea why they were taken off the market? It works as an ultra sound sonar detective which picks up large bodies of movement such as schools of fish that travel together.
