Large jet planes travel between 500 and 600 miles per hour. Smaller commercial planes (2 engine prop) travel at 200 to 300 mph. Single and twin commercial planes with 6 to 14 passangers travel at 100 to 200 mph. The fastest commercial plane (Concorde, which no longer flys), 1300 mph.

The average commercial planes flies between five hundred and six hundred miles an hour. However all this can be affected for faster or slower depending on the tailwind.

It can vary. I know on the big commercial jets like that have for Jetblue, the planes get up over six hundred miles per hour, so it takes about six hours to fly from Boston to Seattle. Small planes that make short trips, usually an hour or less, travel much slower than that, however.

While in the air, commercial airlines can reach average speeds of around 600 miles per hour depending on the wind speed and direction.

Large commercial airplanes typically cruise at a rate of 500-600 miles per hour. Smaller commercial planes don't fly as fast as the larger models.

Commercial airplanes will fly at different speeds depending on the size of the aircraft. However, if you are trying to estimate how fast you will arrive, a good rule of thumb is they fly between 500 and 600 mph.
