The Manx breed has a different kind of spine than other breeds which makes their tales very short. Their ears are also more pointed than other cats.

The Manx breed has a mutation of the spine resulting in either no tail or a shortened tail. They can only carry one gene for this mutation. If they carry both they are usually aborted.

They have different size tails. Their hind legs are a different size than a normal cat. They are a much smaller cat than a regular house cat. Mine was very needy but very loving.

Manx cats have a genial mutation of the spine which leaves them with a small stub or no tail at all, they have a tendency to hunt small rodents.

A manx kitten is beautiful. It has slightly pointed ears and these kittens do not have tails. They are absolutely beautiful. They are pretty lovable too. I have one in my house today and he is a keeper. He is strictly indoors but he still looks like the ultimate hunter.

The biggest difference between the Manx and other breeds of cat is the complete lack of a tail - in place of the tail they have a "dimple". Also, the back legs are longer than the front legs. And, they are very protective of their home - sometimes called "dog-cat"
