The nurse anesthesia program is usually 24 to 36 months long. However, this is in addition to completing your BSN. Most programs also require actual work experience prior to acceptance. This can be anywhere from 1 year acute care (ICU) to 5 years of nursing experience.

It takes 24 to 36 months to become a CRNA. It require a bachelor's degree and a graduate program in nurse anesthesia. Also need to pass a national certification exam before being licensed to practice.
