Hydrocodone is not safe (or legal) to take unless prescribed specifically for you by your physician. It is narcotic, highly addictive and can be fatal in high doses. Hydrocodone is not prescribed for "kids. " Possession of prescription drugs without a prescription is a felony.

One tablet every 4 hours unless a doctor has approved a stronger dose. If his/her pain doesn't respond to one tablet, check into a different treatment.

Kids should not take Vicodin. No one should take prescription drugs except as directed by the prescribing physician. Possessing or taking medication not prescribed for you is illegal.

That depends on what was prescribed by the doctor. The general dosage of that level is usually one tablet per every four to six hours as needed. If it is not your prescription, do NOT take any. Vicodin tends to have some nasty side effects if taken without real need.
