The cost to replace a single shingle can vary greatly depending on what roofer you choose to use. On average, replacing an entire roof can cost anywhere betwwen $2000 and $12,000. You would think at this rate that one shingle would only cost a fraction, but the effort of having a roofer come out, ends up making it about $100.

It depends. First, if you need a shingle, many home centers sell singles from open packages ($3-5). Next, most roofers want jobs for their entire crew. A better bet would be to find a handyman. Put together a couple of odd jobs and you'll get a better price (probably $20-$40/hr).

Sounds like your a homeowner and dont know what you are talking about. A good professional roofer takes on all sizes of roofs. This is whats called getting your foot in the door.  add a comment

On average you can expect to pay about $75-$125 for the service call and materials needed to make the repair. More exotic shingles cost more.

The cost would vary to have a roofer replace one shingle. There are many variables. How much would they charge for labor? Would it be by the job or by the hour? The material cost for a shingle may not be very high, but the labor involved could be. Is the roof insured?
