At this age in your baby's life, nursing is not the sole source of nutrition for your baby. At 12 months if your baby were bottle fed he/she would be drinking a bottle about 4 times per day. So, nursing is similar to that; 3 -4 times per day is sufficient.

You can breastfeed a 12 month old as little or often as you would like. A baby cannot have too much breastmilk. The more you nurse, the more milk your body will produce. In turn, your milk supply decreases with less feedings. If you wean gradually, your body and your baby will adjust to whatever schedule is best for you.

About four times a day seems reasonable. Once per meal and then before bedtime. Once more or less wouldn't be unusual as the infant can have whole milk.

Based on what your kid eats you can feed him 5 times a day with breast milk and the rest of the time you can give him solid food

Babies' feeding patterns vary widely, especially if they are nursing. If your baby is nursing exclusively, he or she may still need to do so several times a day. If weaning, be sure to replace the missed feedings with formula, or whole milk for babies over 12 months.

Child should be protected carefully in everyways i. e. food, clothing and diseases. A child gets affected to a disease soon. Through air, contacts and food. In this early stage i. e. till 1year a mother's guidance is necessary in every ways. Breast feeding is very good food other than everything.
