They are human! Treat them how you would like to be treated, and be understanding. Make sure they know that you care about them and are there for them when they are feeling bad. Talk to them about it too, and ask what you can do to help and about how they themselves manage it.

You have to accept your friend for who he or she is. Just because you learned that he or she is bipolar shouldn't make them less of a friend.

Is your friend really bipolar, or just moody? In either case, you just need to be tolerant and deal with the mood swings. Just treat them like you would any friend.

You should treat him just like you would anyone else. You should be understanding of his mood changes, but do not feel like you have to be cautious or gaurded with him.
