You should probably go into or make a call to a modeling agency where the agents work and send them your portfolio and see if they would like to help you with your future

You should begin by submitting headshots of yourself to various agencies. If they are interested in you they will contact you. Never pay upfront for any modeling jobs!

Ideally you could get some referrals... you want to make sure that the agent has your interests at heart. There are modeling-agency scams, so you need to ensure that you are dealing with a reputable agency.

As a model I can give you this advice: get the addresses of modeling agencies in your area from google, phonebooks, etc. and send them 2 high quality pictures - your face and full body shot. Include handwritten note, say you will call them later in the week to set up an appointment. Never pay up front for a contract.

Do not just look in the phone book. You must do research. Many agents are scamming people; taking their money and promising jobs but never coming through. Make sure your agent has contacts in major cities like New York, Boston, or Los Angeles.

You can take a chance and go to New York or where the leading agencies have offices. Once a week they allow the public to come and see if they have what it takes to be a top model. You can also send your portfolio to modelling scouts.

Try applying to top corporations (look online). Avoid places like Craigslist or at-the-mall people who approach you. You need to make sure that they are legitimate. Try searching legitimate agencies and seeing about the people who work there and if they would be willing to book you.

The best thing to do is get your portfolio together and visit multiple modeling agencies. If chosen to join an agency, sign with the most respectable one.

You want to check with real people to find a reliable one, then be sure not to pay them any money down.

Look in a New york City Phone book under modeling agencies, check if they do your gender and send them your portfolio. If you get in, good job, if not repeat the steps.
