Blotches can appear on the skin as a result of aging and continued sun exposure and this can be prevented by wearing sun screen when out or staying out of the sun as much as possible. There is little that can be done about them once they form and make up can cover them

White blotches are not serious but sometimes can be embarassing to the person who have them. Vitiligo is a condition where the skin doesn't make melanin or enough melanin. There is no cure but you can purchase special make-up/cover up or go to your family DR and he/she will prescribe something.

Go see a dermatologist to find out for sure what is causing the splotches it may be a lack of melamine where the blotches are occurring or it could be Tinea Vesicolor which can be treated by skin cream, shampoos and solutions or with an antifungal pill.

You need to know why they occurred. And I need to know if you are white, black or hispanic skinned. This could be caused by a fungal infection, but if particularly you are naturally dark-skinned, this could be the condition called Vitalgo, and you really need to consult a dermatologist.
