Fill out schedule A (itemized deductions). The first section is for medical expenses. Only the expenses over 7. 5% of your income count toward itemizing. If you do not have significant medical and/or additional itemized deductions such as mortgage interest, real estate taxes, state income taxes or donations, it maynot work.

Generally medical expenses are a deductible expense on your Schedule A if you itemize deductions when filing your personal 1040 tax forms added to your other expenses on schedule A. Medical expenses can also be deducted in full if you are self employed and paid either medical premiums or direct medical bills for your employees.
